The Flint Hills of Kansas comprise a biologically diverse ecosystem that ranks second only to rain forests in number of species. Those species of the tall grass prairie deserve a voice crying out of the wilderness in order for members of the modern world to understand the endangered state of the last segment of this incredible environment. The visual arts speak a universal language that can help capture the serene beauty of the tallgrass prairie. Art of the Flint Hills reaches out to all living in, around, and away from the tallgrass prairie, arguing of the need to preserve this important ecosystem.
